EVO Test Drive Review 03/29/2010

Very touchy-feely and great value for money, Nissan's 370Z attracts a crowd wherever it's parked

Red cars are faster. It's one of the unwritten rules of the universe. Until now, obviously. Anyway, the 370Z looks stunning in Vibrant Red. It's a colour that just seems to suit the confidence that the wide arches and short wheelbase exude. The small spoiler that the UK cars have on their rump makes all the difference to the looks too, and I love the fact that the shape of the side windows has a hint of GT-R.

Everywhere I park it there always seems to be someone who thinks it's a new exotic, the names Ferrari and Porsche even being mentioned by well-meaning elderly neighbours. Bless 'em.

Nissan 370Z

If someone was compiling a top ten of the world’s best-sounding cars, the Nissan 370Z would definitely be riding high in the chart.

Press the start button and the 3.7-litre V6 bursts into life, full of smooth power. It has a glorious, turbine-like engine sound, combined with a wonderful exhaust note that has just the right edge.

It’s the soundtrack to a car that puts life back into motoring, the 370Z being the successor to Nissan’s highly-rated 350Z, and M.E.N Motoring spent a week in the latest model-year version, with GT Pack, which includes 19in alloys, heated seats trimmed in black leather and suede, cruise control and an eight-speaker sound system.

AUTOCAR GT Edition Test Drive Review 06/23/2011

Nissan 370Z GT Edition

A nod to Nissan’s success in global GT racing, and a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the ‘Z’ in the UK – the Nissan 370Z GT Edition. There’s always been lots to like about the Nissan 370Z but it hasn’t been without criticisms, particularly when it comes to road noise and ride comfort.

Thanks to revised suspension settings this GT Edition goes a long way to solving the latter, even if you’ll still be enjoying the constant dirge of tyre noise more often that the rather subdued exhaust note from the eager 323bhp 3.7-litre V6.

WHATCAR? GT Edition Test Drive Review 08/10/2011

A limited-edition version of Nissan's brawny 370Z coupe, built to celebrate 40 years of Z models in the UK.

Darkened alloy wheels and side stripes are the biggest visual clues that this isn't your average 370Z, but the biggest changes are under the skin.

The suspension has been fettled to provide a smoother ride and tighter body control, while there's better underbody sound insulation to quell some of the road noise that blights the standard models.

ROAD MAGAZINE GT Edition Test Drive Review 09/12/2011

On paper, the £35.000 370Z GT Edition might seem steep, some £5k more that the standard 324bhp, 155mph 370Z. But the gorgeous looks and awesome suspension justify it alone…

Question. How do you go about celebrating 40 years of amazing Z cars and huge success in GT racing? Nissan's answer...the £35,000 370Z Edition. But at £5k over the asking price of a standard 370Z-which already offers drop dead coupe looks, RWD, a front-engine 3.7 Litre V6 with 324bhp/363Nm, six speed manual or seven speed paddle shift gear box and generous specifications-is this super sexy GT Edition offering enough?

THE GUARDIAN GT Edition Test Drive Review 11/07/2011

On the road: Nissan 370Z GT

Ha! You thought this was the Guardian. Not this bit, it's not. It's Max Power magazine, or Top Gear. Go on, choke on your muesli, throw your Birkenstock at the page in a liberal rage, I don't care. [Engages first, stamps right foot to floor, disappears to the sound and smell of burning rubber.]

They've been sending me these bloody Kias and Hyundais, sensible little Guardian-friendly cars that aren't too harsh on the pocket or the planet, have seats in the back for children and room behind them for the shopping. All very well [goes briefly on-message in attempt to save job] but hardly the reason I became a famous motoring journalist.

This, on the other hand, is. Look at it! Not beautiful, no, but it has presence, people stare as I pass. Oh God, it sounds lovely, too. Brrrrrrrrrmmm.

Nissan 370Z GT review

Since its launch in 2008, the Nissan 370Z has established itself as a performance car bargain, wowing all comers with its agile, balanced handling, high performance and relatively low price. Nissan 370Z GT Edition (2011 onwards)

What is it? Nissan has tweaked its famously macho 370Z with revised suspension and equipment levels for the 2011 model year, this GT Edition representing a limited run of specially liveried cars celebrating the firm's success in various levels of GT racing.

This has been achieved with the 370Z at GT4 level against Aston Martins, Ginettas and more, while in the big boys' GT1 class the race version of the formidable GT-R has been making a real name for itself. As a result the GT Edition gets retro racing stripes and a few choice upgrades.
